First reference of "Ghost!"

The Beginning!

 Have you ever wondered where, and when the first account of a ghost occurred? Well that was one of my first questions when I became involved in the paranormal field.
 I felt it very important finding an answer to this question as everything has a beginning! Where it all started I felt was a key to the whole validation of the possibilities of ghost even existing. 

 Maybe the more important thing I wanted and needed to know, Was if the first accounts of a ghost were from a reputable person? or some sort of gypsy?
 I say this because it made my personal accounts a thing in question! I was actually questioning my own sanity and wondered if maybe I had hallucinated all my experiences through my younger years?
 
 Needless to say people have been witnessing apparitions and seeing ghostly images for a very long time! As well as hearing Eerie cries and voices from an other worldly place! We wanted to share a few of the very earliest recorded accounts of people referring to ghost with everyone. So here it is!
 
According to the book "Ghost Sighting"s by Brian Innes, the oldest written report of a ghost comes from the Bible, in the first book of Samuel.
 Saul goes to a medium (“a woman that hath a familiar spirit”) and asks her to conjure up the deceased Samuel, which she does. Samuel appears in the form of “an old man covered with a mantle.”

 Another very old ghost sighting comes from Ancient Greece. A Greek writer named Pausanius wrote around 150 AD about a haunting at the site of the battle of Marathon (490 BC). In the words of Pausanius:
 “At this place you can hear all night horses whinnying and men fighting. No one who stays there just to have this experience gets any good out of it, but the ghosts do not get angry with anyone who happens to be there against his will.”
 
Notes: The description of Samuel in his undead state, covered with his mantle, seems to set a precedent for the sheet-covered ghost so favored in Western culture.
 Although Samuel was conjured and perhaps not a “true” ghost, Pausanius’ account is clearly that of an already established haunting which must have been well known at the time.

 These are just a couple of the earliest accounts and ones that I feel the most validating! Of course in every culture there is some reference to ghost at some point in history and we think this is the more important point!
 The fact that so many cultures through history share a common ground in the ghost department! With so many different cultures talking of the same thing! how is it that people can dismiss it so easily as being in a persons head?

 We are going to be discussing more of this subject in the next few blogs. We want to look more into the individual cultures and how they perceive ghost and their actions? We will also be looking at cultures that believe in being able to communicate with the dead, and certain people that were able to be used as a type of divining tool!

 Anyway I figured it was worth sharing so people may get some better ideas of things to look at!

The terrorist in France were targeting a particular cartoonist because of his certain publications that were found to be offensive to a certain culture.
 So in retaliation they indiscriminately opened fire into the whole staff at the newspaper office!

  My question to this attack is Why? Sure I understand being upset about things in life, But what the hell? Shoot into a crowd of people because of some figures in a cartoon which made you upset!
 Hell If I went out and shot up everyone that pissed me off, Well let's just say it would be the biggest mass murder in history!
 But then what? What did it and would it all really prove in the long run? That your not afraid to die for what "YOU" believe is right or wrong? Are you thinking you'll be looked at as a hero?

I know the answers to the above questions, and yes they believe that they are hero's for their vile acts of murder!
 The belief of dying for a righteous cause will grant you wonderful things in the afterlife. Well that's a bunch of hogwash! And if I'm pissing anyone off so be it!

  My intentions in this article were not intended to mock people for their beliefs, or criticize their religions! It is to say and ask, Where does it end? 
 If you start killing people because of your religious beliefs because of some cartoon images what about more serious stuff?
 Let's say paranormal research for an example!?In some religions there can be no such things as ghost, Per say. It actually mentions this in certain Religion's scriptures!
In the bible there is one verse where it states so and so. (I can't remember the names) went to see this medium type person and asked them to bring fourth a certain spirit, and so it had been done!
 So because some things are looked at a certain way does that make it right for this person to commit acts of violence?
 So what now? Should we in the Paranormal field start worrying?

  I feel confident we shouldn't have to worry too much, But what if? There are a lot worse things being said and done to make one concerned!
 I realize this is far from a new situation or concern, But because of this latest attack it has really opened my eyes to the insane things we as people can do!

  As I have stated in other post, That I hope we never find, Or for that matter are found, By any other life in our Universe! Because we are still in our caveman infancy!
 If you really look at our evolution over just the last 100 years you can see we have gone off the charts with technology.
 But does that mean we are ready for greeting someone, Or something from beyond? In my mind I would really love to see some honest to god life from an honest to god UFO!
 I would like to hear our Gov't say they have known all along about UFO's and that they have been visiting us for some time now! Though I won't be holding my breath for this to happen!

  Even though we as humans think we have the minds to be rational and capable of dealing with life from beyond. We don't!
 As I stated, We are still in our infancy! We are still cavemen! Maybe slightly more evolved, But by our actions alone we prove our cavemen traits all the time.
 The power to be dominant is one of the big ones! This is not so good especially if life is out. Because who would want to control who?
 It's in our nature to be the controllers! So what would be in the alien's nature? Sit back and be lead by an inferior race? 
 I've said it before, It wouldn't be because they came to break bread and want to start some interstellar trade system!
 hey will have an agenda! And one you can bet isn't spreading the word of peace and prosperity!

  I wonder what an alien life form would think of our ways of living, And killing?
 I guarantee they would call us primitive Like I've said "cavemen!"
300 hundred years ago was a blink of an eye in terms of time! Heck we were just discovering new real estate out in the west, California way that is swimming pools , And movie stars! 
 Girls were getting married off at 12 and if you weren't married and on your 4th or 5th kid you were considered an old maid!

When thinking of things like that I understand what was happening, Because we are nothing more than just a smart animal!
 As an animal we had the drive to do such things. I'm not sure what happened, Or when people started saying this was morally nuts! But it wasn't all that long ago!
 And in all actuality it's still going on everyday! But the difference is now you'll be going to jail if caught!

These are the reasons why I say we are still cavemen! We have only very slightly evolved, But nonetheless to young to meet no life!

What would these other worldly beings have for beliefs about religions?
 Do you really think a God such us the various one's humans believe in is part of their lives?        When we do find life, I have a pretty strong notion this will be a very earth moving, Shattering, Eye opening religious breaking moment! All of this killing, And dying for land, And beliefs here on terra forma will have been for what?
 In my mind I believe people have been using God as an excuse to do what people want!  In the beginning I'm certain that people "cavemen" Were so scared of all around them that they looked to the night skies and felt very small and insecure and needed something to believe in. So WHOALY! God came to be! Or various versions over the eons!

As a Paranormal Researcher of course I have my reservations to the subject of an almighty! Though I am very spiritual! I want to believe there is something that holds all this craziness together!
 Though as many others I have some theories what will be at my end. We know scientifically that we are made from elements from our universe! Our chemical compound structure proves this undeniably!
 So maybe when we die our energy (Soul!) wispily climbs back up into our universe and we at some point work our way back into some form of creation!

Some might find this possible, Others far fetched! Sound familiar? Lots have died over this unknown mystery! All because of beliefs!
 Trust me when I say no time soon will I be forming a sect, Cult, Or try to recruit followers into my thoughts, Or theories about the after life. After all look what  I do for a living! Chasing Ghost, UFO's, And anything that defies rational beliefs!

  The big question most should be thinking is why has someone like this guy (me!) a Paranormal Researcher doing what he does, and for as long as he has? Especially after reading about my thoughts and theories! 
  It's my belief that our energy sometimes doesn't leave our world and head to it's destination back to our origin of the universe. Not because God didn't want them! It's just because! Maybe they didn't want to leave! Maybe their energy didn't realize and got confused, Lost, Or just scared!
 In some case's the energy may have just been a mean person in life and decided to stay and create havoc!
 Things we have captured for evidence over the years has made it undeniably to me that something is here amongst us! Some innocent, And some not so innocent, Nonetheless something!

  It's as well my belief that we have been visited! I believe we have been for a long time, Possibly from something that had to do with our own creation! Who knows?
 But I do know we are not alone and there has been compelling evidence shown proving this for all to see! 
 A lot of the proof has been giving to us from our Gov't already! The biggest piece is their unwilling stubbornness to be involved into wanting to know, What are these crafts people are witnessing?
 Well the answer to that is they all ready know! Our Gov't needs to stay in the shadows and deny for a few different reasons.
 One being they don't want others to know or be involved! Again this is where the power struggle enters again! Caveman dominance!

  Secrecy by denying with our Gov't is always their tell when it comes to the truth! When they deny, and keep it close to the chest I guarantee that's their tell for, Yes we know already! Yes we have known all along! Yes we have been lying because we didn't want others to get to these things first!

"There are places to go beyond belief! The veil of secrecy needs to be lifted!"
 Why would Neil Armstrong have made these comments back at a ceremony in the 90's?
 That doesn't sound like he was trying to get something out there?
 Another big tell is when the Catholic church keeps coming out and revising their once before sacred beliefs!
"Announcing their openness to the possibility of life in our Universe!" 
 This was once one of the Catholic churches biggest hang ups and we were suppose to be the only life end of conversation! People would be put to death if you said otherwise! Why have they implied a mandatory class on performing exorcism's? 
 These to me are obvious tell tale signs of something larger at play!

So with all of this let's sum it up!

1. Ghost are real
2. UFO's are real
3. Religion is going to suffer
4. Our Gov't won't change
5. We are still cavemen (In a way!)
6. We shouldn't be afraid 
7. Oh, And ghost are real, Really!

  Skip the magic mushrooms? No way I wanna see a ghost! Timothy O'Leary where are you now? The LSD just plain sucks nowadays! Either your on the bus, Or your off the bus!

 So says the Merry Pranksters in a great book by Tom Wolfe called the "Electric Kool-Aid Acid Test" And a fun bit of fact is the lead character in it was Ken Casey! Who in turn wrote the book "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest"!

 With the money Ken got from selling the book his gang of merry pranksters revolutionized the tripping world! Bought a school bus and went for a crazy ride into history!

 The one big thing I don't remember from any of these trippy stories was anything about ghosts and haunting's! Sure lot's of hallucinations and even some people losing their minds, And even a few dying! But no mention of ghost!

 
If they did as much tripping as stated, well heck you would have thought an apparition or two should have been conjured up? Your probably thinking, Wait a minute is this the same guy that wrote all those other blogs? How does he know those things? And yes I've read all those books and a lot more! A long time ago as a matter of fact!
 
Heck I have obtained more useless information in my life which I will never use, Or need to know! Just so I at least knew certain things for intelligent conversation! Most things I just happened to be able to remember real well from things a ran across here and there!

 
 Anyway I think of myself as a somewhat well rounded and somewhat adjusted type person of intelligence!
 My thoughts are It's better to know a little of a lot of dribble so as to carry on a halfway intelligent conversation with someone! But sometimes it's like a battle of wits with an unarmed person in some cases! Especially when it comes to talking ghosts with people such as the type in the above link!
 
I am referring to the Dr. type people! I have constantly argued about all these studies that are done trying to bash down the ghost phenomena! It's so much easier for someone to refer to these happenings as hallucinations then to actually do any real scientific leg work to understand what is really going on!
 Some have tried, Don't get me wrong! But then their shot down by the rest of the scientific community and there lies the problem!
 Anyone who hopes to retain a prosperous career and a bit of status in their field fears getting involved into admitting things of a paranormal nature!
 Or maybe there are things they do know and have witnessed, but can't explain it? So pawn it off as a hallucination!

  When talking of these genius types An example is a medical surgeon! They are some of the cockiest people on the planet! They have a chip on their shoulder that just could never be knocked off! Laymen's terms "Their shit don't, and won't ever stink!"
 Well that's how some of these so called scientific people are as well! Geniuses in their fields so when they say it's this way, Well that's the way it is!

  The point to all this is, what is it then? when things are happening to people and you can't blame it on any type of hallucinations, psychotic episodes, the weather, the alignment of the stars, menstruation, menopause, mid life crisis? Give it a name, What is it when you run out of things to blame it on? Oh, Oh, OH! Me, me, me, me! Pick me I know the answer to this! It's then called PARANORMAL! Ahhh! Man that's a word a genius hates to use!

 Sure we have every genius, and smart person in the world in a mad rush trying to crack their way in to find and prove we live in multi dimensions. My god there have been billions spent on building a machine that will be able to shed light into the dimensional theory!
 
Us, or we as in humans being able to find the key to these dimensions that isn't crazy? Nor is the fact that they hope to be able to travel to other dimensions at some point?
 Sure! Thinking this type of stuff years ago was science fiction! Not anymore! But still we can't seem to admit to the possibility of there being such things as ghosts, Or spirits!
 
Maybe when we die our thing we call a soul travels to another dimension? and boom we start all over again!
 Maybe these things that some witness as in ghost is some type of dimensional bleed through? See at least I'm rational and reasonable enough to be open to possibilities! Why can't They?

  I wish so much that these people would stop with the crap about hallucinations and the such!  
 I get mad about this because of my own personal experiences when I was younger, And it wasn't any hallucination!
 Things I saw and heard years before any of these shows we see on television of ghost hunting! I was influenced by nothing of the such! I knew nothing of orbs, apparitions, and the possibility of any of the crazy things that happened to me!
 
 I had seen an orb the size of a softball slowly cruise across my bedroom and this was after I had heard my door open first, But then this huge orb went across my room to where I had a radio playing and once it got to it, BAM! There was this flash of light and the radio went dead! Lights and all!
 
 It wasn't until years later that I heard the term orb and what it was suppose to be! 
 The crazy thing was it was the same thing that others have described witnessing as well! A greenish color of a swirling, Smokey affect type of sphere!
 When I heard someone describe an orb for the first time it was as if they were with me witnessing it as well, Telling me what I saw the first time!

 Sure this is what they would refer to as a hallucination! And as many orbs that have been seen, by many people they would call it a mass hallucination!
 Well what about the ones that have been documented and filmed? And I'm not talking small little flashes on the screen events! I'm talking big green balls of light the size of golf balls and bigger! What would they call this? A camera malfunction? A technical defect with the equipment?
 
 The answer is yes! I have had several years of my own personal experiences when I was younger that led me into the field of Paranormal Research and I can promise you it wasn't any hallucination, Or any other parlor tricks! After those experiences, And ones further into my life's work.

  I have had numerous experiences with the Paranormal! I, and we here at the Society have captured evidence that is beyond normal and defies rational explanation!
 I realize I may sound like a broken record and these things I am saying may have been seen before in other areas such as our web page, blogs or social sites we have, But I feel the more I say this the more it may sink in as being real and possible!

   All I know is I have not been hallucinating all these years and I'm certain the proof we have accumulated over the years will substantiate that!
 Though when things get slow maybe hitting the mushrooms would help boost some activity! Worth a shot! Or at least that's my good excuse to act 16 again! ( :
